The Data Model Collective was started on June 17th, 2022. During the last panel discussion on the Knowledge Gap on June 3rd, 2022, we came across the lack of knowledge on data modelling in general and in education (in universities) in particular. And we all think that is a bad thing. We agreed that foundational and broad data modelling knowledge is invisible and disappearing.

We asked ourselves why nobody is doing something about it. And after that decided, if anyone could or would do something about it, it would be us … so we decided to act.
